Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins Set for 'Thanks for Sharing' Film

Stage and film veterans Tim Robbins and Mark Ruffaloare set to play leading roles in the new film 'Thanks for Sharing', reports Entertainment Weekly.

Their roles haven't yet been specified, but the movie is "a heartfelt comedy set in and around a 12-step program for recovering sex addicts in New York City. The bonds of friendship between these men help the overcome temptation and develop meaningful relationships for the first time in their lives."

Robbins is perhaps best known for his portrayals of Nuke in Bull Durham, Andy Dufresne in The Shawshank Redemption, and as Dave Boyle in Mystic River, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Robbins is also co-founder of the Los Angeles-based theater company The Actors Gang.

In 2006, Ruffalo starred in Clifford Odets's Awake and Sing! at the Belasco Theatre in New York, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. His film credits include: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Zodiac, Shutter Island, Just Like Heaven, You Can Count on Me and The Kids Are All Right for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
