MTV Picks Up Latina Comedy From Jennifer Lopez

As first reported by the Hollywood Reporter, MTV has picked up a new half-hour comedy series which will be written by "Work It" author Grace Parra and produced by singer Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions.  The series will tell the story of recent NYU graduate, Lina Molina who has no choice but to return home to her colorful Mexican family in suburban Texas after she can no longer support herself on her own.

Joining Lopez as executive producer will be Simon Fields and manager Benny Medina

Lopez's Nuyorican is currently involved in several television projects, including truTV's South Beach Tow, Spike TV's Big Easy Justice and Fox an upcoming dramedy involving sisters on Fox.
