Lester Holt to Anchor NBC NIGHTLY NEWS from South Carolina Tonight

Lester Holt will anchor "NBC Nightly News" from North Charleston, South Carolina tonight as the country reacts to the shooting death of an unarmed black man by a white police officer. Officer Michael Slager was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday after cellphone video emerged showing him fatally shooting 50-year-old Walter Scott in the back.

Holt joins NBC News correspondent Gabe Gutierrez on the ground in South Carolina. Tonight's broadcast will also feature complete coverage of the Boston bombing verdict with NBC News justice correspondent Pete Williams at the courthouse.
