Along with Helman, the cast also includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, and Shawn Ashmore. GAME OF THRONES' Peter Dinklage has also signed on. The film is set to be released in theaters on July 18, 2014. Simon Kinberg penned the script.

The last entry into the franchise, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, was set in 1962 when the United States government enlisted the help of Mutants with superhuman abilities to stop a malicious dictator who is determined to start world war III.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will act as something of a sequel to 'First Class'. Days of Future Past is taken from two issues of Marvel Comics' Uncanny X-Men in 1981. The story was set in an alternate future in which surviving mutants were confined to concentration camps, while most of the X-Men had been killed. In order to stop this dismal future from unfolding, the X-Men had to stop a specific event from occurring in the past.

Production on the film from 20th Century Fox is now underway and is set to arrive in theaters May 23, 2014.
