Joni Bovill Joins Will Smith in Sony's Untitled NFL Concussion Movie

Joni Bovill joins stellar cast in Scott Free and Sony's untitled NFL CONCUSSION movie. Will Smith stars in the drama-based on the GQ article "Game Brain" by Jeanne Marie Laskas. Other actors signed on to the film include Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks and Paul Reiser.

Bovill will play Mrs. Scott , the church secretary that plays matchmaker to Smith and Mbatha-Raw's characters.

Peter Landesman is writing and directing, and Ridley Scott, Giannina Facio, David Wolthoff, Larry Shuman and Elizabeth Cantillon are producing. Michael Schaefer and David Crockett are executive producers. Hannah Minghella is overseeing for the studio.

Bovill has been busy this year, appearing with Oscar nominated actors VIOLA Davis and Alfre Woodard in ABC's hit "How To Get Away With Murder" and NBC's "State of Affairs," respectively, as well as a recurring role in Amazon Studio's upcoming drama series "Bosch" based off of the "Harry Bosch" crime novels written by Michael Connelly. She's also appeared in STARZ "Survivor's Remorse" and FX's "The Bridge."
