According to Deadline.com, Johnny Depp is in final negotiations to reprise his role as the Mad Hatter in a sequel to Disney's ALICE IN WONDERLAND directed by James Bobin.

In Tim Burton's 2010 film starring Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter and more, "19-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror."

Depp is currently also in talks to star in Lionsgate's Mortdecai, and will be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 in summer 2015. Depp has also signed on for Rob Marshall's Into the Woods film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical, and is filming for Transcendance.

His past film credits include The Lone Ranger, The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, The Rum Diary, Rango, Alice in Wonderland, Public Enemies, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Sweeney Todd, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Chocolat, Sleepy Hollow, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Ed Wood, 21 Jump Street and more.
