Joan Rivers to Guest Star on Lifetime's DROP DEAD DIVA

EW.com reports that Joan Rivers is set to guest star on an episode of Lifetime's DROP DEAD DIVA. The comedian will join a guest starring line-up which includes Kim Kardashian, Patty Duke, Serena Williams and Brandy Norwood on the upcoming season of the show.

Rivers will portray the show's character Jane’s subconscious in two episodes. She will make her first appearance in Jane’s (Brooke Elliott) dreams as a shrink. The actress will tell Jane, "You’re just like Madonna with her 23-year-old boyfriends. You’re not fooling anyone."

The episodes are slated to air in July. 

Joan and her daughter Melissa Rivers currently star in Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best on WE tv. The series follows Joan moving to California to be closer to her family. She moves in with daughter Melissa while searching for a home of her own.  In 2011, Rivers was featured as herself in Season 2 of Louis C.K.'s self-entitled show Louie, where she performed on-stage.
