Jennifer Morrison's SUN DOGS Wins Best Picture At Mammoth Film Festival

The inaugural Mammoth Film Festival™ came to a close last night with a standing-room only Awards Ceremony held at the Canyon Lodge in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Jennifer Morrison took home the top prize, Best Picture for her film Sun Dogs which closed the festival earlier that day. Sun Dogs also took home a total of 3 Awards last night, including the Grand Jury Prize. The film was recently Acquired by Netflix. The indie thriller Josie starring Sophie Turner also took home 3 Awards. Screen Media recently acquired the film and will release it in theaters and On Demand in March. Sophie Turner won the Best Actress Award. Sons of St. Clair the documentary chronicling Bone Thugs N Harmony's Krayzie Bone & Bizzy Bone Directed by Tim Newfang took home Best Documentary Award.

The 4-Day Festival was one for the ages, with attendees hailing it the largest first-time film festival. On Friday the usa network launched the West Coast Premiere of Director Anthony Hemingway's new series Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. which received a standing ovation in Mammoth. The series debuts on February 27 on USA. The festival's celebrity bowling tournament presented by the Mammoth Media Institute was a rousing success with participants including: Krayzie Bone, Nina Dobrev, Ashley Greene, Tom Welling, Josh Henderson, Luke "Dingo" Trembath, Arielle Vandenberg, Matt Cutshall, Scott Haze, Jay Hunter, Alexandra Chando, Ryan Rottman among others.
