Janeane Garofalo Joins Cast of Bravo's MARTI NOXON Pilot

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Janeane Garofalo has signed on to Marti Noxon's upcoming pilot for Bravo titled 'The Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce'. The actress will join previously announced cast members Paul Adelstein and Lisa Edelstein on the project.

Based on the book series by executive producer Vicki Iovine, the one-hour dramedy will center on "the best-selling author of a self-help book series, Vicki (Edelstein), who is secretly hiding her separation from her husband (Adelstein) and starts to navigate her life as a single woman in her 40s in Los Angeles. She begins to side with and take advice more often from her divorced friends rather than her married ones, and it leads her to some unexpected life-changing experiences."

The 'Reality Bites' star will portray 'Lyla', Vicki's friend and "a legendary entertainment lawyer who is a real shark but also fiercely maternal and involved with the people she loves."

Noxon will write the pilot.

Garofalo has most recently been seen on Adult Swim's Delocated, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, 24, The West Wing, Felicity and The Larry Sanders Show. Her film credits include Wet Hot American Summer, Mystery Men and Ratatouille. She is a two-time Emmy nominee for her supporting work on The Larry Sanders Show.
