Entertainment Weekly has reported that Jane Leeves will guest star on at least two episodes of ABC's Desperate Housewives this season as a psychotherapist for desperate husband and father Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) to help him deal with his mid-life crisis. Her character is reported to show up on the show in late January.

Leeves is far from the first Frasier alum to appear on Wisteria Lane: Harriet Samson Harris (Frasier's agent Bebe) appeared in the first two seasons as neighbor Felicia Tilman, and on the behind the scenes front, Joe Keenan serves as a consulting producer on Desperate Housewives (he worked many roles in Frasier from story editor to executive producer).

Leeves, best known for her role as Daphne Moon on Frasier for nine seasons, has also appeared in Murphy Brown, The Benny Hill Show, and Seinfeld. Leeves was Sally Bowles on Broadway in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, and has recently been a part of the touring production of An Evening Without Monty Python.

Desperate Housewives airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
