James Corden to Star in CAN A SONG SAVE YOUR LIFE

Deadline.com reports that Tony-winning actor James Corden will join the cast of CAN A SONG SAVE YOUR LIFE, directed by John Carney. The actor will join previously announced cast members Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld and Adam Levine in the upcoming film.

Corden will play best pal to Keira Knightley's character, an aspiring singer who gets unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend.

BWW recently reported that Corden will also star as Paul Potts in The Weinstein Company's upcoming film ONE CHANCE. Potts is the real-life contestant who competed on the UK's 'Britain's Got Talent'. The cell phone salesman wowed judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan with his operatic talents. He went on to become a successful opera star.

Corden won the 2012 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role of a Play for One Man, Two Guvnors. His other theatre work includes One Man, Two Guvnors at The National Theatre and The History Boys (National Theatre, Broadway and international tour). TV credits includes The Brit Awards, A League of Their Own, and Gavin and Stacey (co-creator and co-writer) (BAFTA Award for Television Programme of the Year, British Comedy Award for Best New Scripted Comedy. Writers Guild of Great Britain Award for Comedy Writer of the Year, South Bank Show Award for Comedy, Tric Award for Best Comedy, National Television Award 2010 for Best Comedy).
