Halle Berry to Star in Joel Schumacher's THE HIVE

As first reported in Variety, actress Halle Berry has been cast in Joel Schumacher's upcoming thriller THE HIVE. Schumacher will direct the film which was penned by Thir13en Ghosts and Exit Wounds writer Richard D'Ovidio.

The movie will tell the story of an emergency phone line operator who finds herself having to deal with a killer from her past while making contact with a young girL. Berry will appear in the lead role.

Berry received an academy award for Best Actress in 2001 for her performance in 'Monster's Ball'. She recently appeared on the big screen in 'New Year's Eve' and will be starring opposite Tom Hanks and Hugh Grant in the upcoming film, 'Cloud Atlas'.
