According to The New York Post, gunshots were fired off during an interview between recording artist Jennifer Lopez and Entertainment Tonight journalist Rob Marciano Sunday evening in Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL.

Marciano shared the news on Twitter posting, "BREAKING: Gunshots fired in Fort Lauderdale Beach DURING my JLo interview. No kidding. Security scrambled her away," and, "Can hear & see ambulances converging ~400 yards down the street."

The Miami Herald later confirmed that Lopez and her current beau Casper Smart were immediately ushered away to their car when the shots rang out. Later in the evening, Ft. Lauderdale police said they had not discovered any evidence of a shooting, prompting the ET correspondent to tweet, "Police confirming: 'shots fired. no one hit' Whew."

Lopez is currently in Florida filming a video for her new single "Live It Up" featuring rapper Pitbull.
