Greenaway's EISENSTEIN IN GUANAJUATO Opens Tomorrow

Peter Greenaway's Golden Bear nominated Eisenstein In Guanajuato (Elmer Bäck, Luis Alberti, Maya Zapata, Lisa Owen, Stelio Savante, Rasmus Slatis & Jakob Öhrman) opens in select US theaters tomorrow, Friday February 5th.

Eisenstein In Guanajuato chronicles THE JOURNEY of Soviet filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein during his travels to Guanajuato in Mexico to shoot "Que Viva Mexico" in 1931. While in Mexico, Eisenstein fell madly in love with his guide Cañedo.

The biopic is being released by Strand Releasing.

In addition to its Golden Bear nomination 'Eisenstein' has been well received on the festival circuit. Including nominations and awards for Greenaway at the International Film Festival Of India, Nederlands Film Festival, Seattle Film Festival and Seville European Film Festival.
