Gershon, Glover et. al to Star in 'Five Minarets in New York'

Gina Gershon, Danny Glover, and Robert Patrick will star in the independent movie 'Five Minarets in New York,' the Hollywood Reporter reports.  The film, to be written and directed by Mahsun Kirmizigul (Turkey's 'I Saw the Sun'), is the story of Maria (Gershon), the wife of a Turkish scholar who is arrested for a crime that he did not commit. 

Gina Gershon has appeared on Broadway in CABARET, BOEING BOEING, and BYE BYE BIRDIE.  Her screen credits include 'Sinatra,' 'Bound,' 'Face/Off,' 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' 'Rescue Me,' and 'Ugly Betty.' 

Danny Glover has appeared on Broadway in MASTER HAROLD...AND THE BOYS.  His screen credits include 'The Color Purple,'  'To Sleep with Anger,' 'Poor Boy's Game,' the 'Lethal Weapon' films, 'Mandela,' and 'Lonesome Dove.' 

Robert Patrick's screen credits include 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day,' 'The Sopranos,' 'The X-Files,' 'Walk the Line,' and 'Flags of Our Fathers.'
