GREY'S ANATOMY Showrunner Shonda Rhimes Talks Milestone 200th Episode

GREY'S ANATOMY showrunner Shonda Rhimes recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour about the upcoming 10th season of the drama which includes the "momentous" 200th episode.

Asked if she would like to continue the award-winning series beyond Season 10, Rhimes replied, "I would like to continue Grey's for as long as I continue to have some story that I can come up with to tell"

She added, "I feel like when it's time to step away and be done is when somebody else has taken over and I can't do this anymore. That's the time to step away. I don't want everyone to say, "It was great until ..." or "I loved it until and it doesn't feel the same." To me, it's letting the characters evolve and telling really interesting stories."

Grey's Anatomy Season 10 premieres Thursday, September 26, 9:00-11:00 p.m., ET

Recipient of the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Television Series and nominated for multiple Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, the series is considered one of the great television shows of our time. The medical drama, moving into its tenth season, follows the personal and professional lives of a group of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in Seattle as they deal with the lives of their patients and their relationships with each other.
