Last night, February 13, at a black-tie ceremony, the Art Directors Guild (ADG) announced the winners of its 14th Annual Excellence in 2009 Production Design Awards in nine categories of film, television, commercials and music videos. The event was held at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Winners included 'Grey Gardens', 'The Hurt Locker', and 'Avatar'. The complete list of winners is below.
Warren Beatty received the ADG's Outstanding Contribution to Cinematic Imagery Award, while Terence Marsh was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Production designer Michael Baugh was honored with the Creative Leadership Award. Malcolm F. Brown, Bob Keene and Ferdinando Scarfiotti are among the production designers who were inducted into the the ADG Hall of Fame this year.
