Deadline writes that GLEE's Heather Morris and MEN AT WORK's Meredith Hagner have signed on for the new comedy FOLK HERO & FUNNY GUY, helmed by Jeff Grace (IT'S A DISASTER) from his own script.

FOLK HERO & FUNNY GUY, inspired by Grace's real-life time touring with musician Adam Ezra, follows "a struggling stand-up comic (GIRLS' Alex Karpovsky) who hits the road as the opening act for his childhood buddy, a successful singer-songwriter (22 JUMP STREET's Wyatt Russell)."

Also in the cast is TWO AND A HALF MEN's Melanie Lynskey.

Ezra, in addition to backing the film via Kickstarter, is writing music for the movie.

The comedy starts shooting next month in Atlanta.

Morris, an acclaimed dancer, is currently appearing in the final season of FOX's musical dramedy series GLEE. Among her film credits are SPRING BREAKERS, POST, FIRED UP! and more. She will next be seen in the short film HORRIBLE PARENTS and the movie MOST LIKELY TO DIE.

Hagner's upcoming big screen projects include CREATIVE CONTROL and ANY TOM, DICK, OR HARRY. She recently appeared in WE'LL NEVER HAVE PARIS, HITS and ART MACHINE, as well as the TV series MEN AT WORK, THE FOLLOWING, ROYAL PAINS and more.
