Deadline reports that writer-producer Jeffrey Pollack was found dead on the greenbelt in Hermosa Beach early Monday, December 23 while out for a jog. An autopsy is pending. The 54-year-old was best known as the writer-producer of the TV series The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

Pollack helmed three successful movies during his career including Above the Rim (1994), the basketball-themed story starring Duane Martin and Tupac Shakur, 1997's Booty Call with Jamie Foxx, Vivica FOX and Tommy Davidson and David Spade's Lost & Found in 1999.

Most recently, Pollack joined forces with Jeff Beacher on Beacher's Madhouse variety shows, which included a successful run at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. A new version of the show will premiere at Vegas' MGM Grand in Las Vegas on December 27th. Miley Cyrus is set to host the event.
