Food Network Premieres New Season of VALERIE'S HOME COOKING Today

Golden Globe® award-winning actress and best-selling cookbook author Valerie Bertinelli is back sharing her flavor and flair for creating mouthwatering recipes on Valerie's Home Cooking, beginning today, November 7th at 12:30pm ET/PT on Food Network. Whether it is a fun poker night, an irresistible THANKSGIVING feast, or just a simple Sunday dinner, Valerie offers her tips and tricks for preparing crowd-pleasing, homemade dishes that everyone will enjoy!
"Audiences were charmed by Valerie's talents in THE KITCHEN as she prepared delicious, modern, easy-to-make recipes for friends and family. Now, on the return of Valerie's Home Cooking, viewers will get a bigger bite of her passion for cooking homemade meals to share with those that she loves most," said Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network. Each of the 13 half-hour long episodes are filled with tasty food, great company and lots of laughs, as Valerie invites friends and family over for some hearty home cooking. On the premiere, Valerie has a full house when she invites friends Michael Burger, Duff Goldman and Jenny Johnson over for a fun night of poker. She ups the ante with a menu full of finger foods, including Southwest Eggrolls with homemade Salsa Dipping Sauce, retro Rumaki Teriyaki, and bite-sized Ham, Apple and Cheddar Sliders. Two-time Golden Globe® award-winning actress, Valerie Bertinelli, first became a household name for her role as Barbara on CBS' long-running series, One Day At A Time. Over the years, her career expanded to include television personality, spokesperson and best-selling New York Times author of Losing It, Finding It: And Satisfying My Hunger for Life Without Opening the Fridge and One Dish At A Time. Bertinelli has also helped develop, produce and star in several television movies and mini-series, and in August 2012 she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She most recently stared as Melanie Moretti in TV Land's critically-acclaimed sitcom Hot in Cleveland, and co-hosted Food Network's Kids Baking Championship.
