Variety is reporting that "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane will be teaming up with comedian Alex Borstein (MadTV, The Family Guy), to star in a variety special for Fox next month entitled, "Family Guy Presents: Seth and Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show."  The show will air on Sunday, November 8, at 8:30 p.m.

MacFarlane and Borstein, who voices "Family Guy" matriarch Lois, have staged sketches that will be featured in the program throughout the country.  In an untraditional twist, the special will run for a full 30 minutes without commercial breaks, but with marketing messages hitting the screen for Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system, who will be sponsoring the program as part of a marketing program with Fox Entertainment Group.  MacFarlane and Borstein will additionally be working with Microsoft to weave in promotional messages for the software in between their routines.

Reportedly, in an example of this integration, in one segment MacFarlane and Borstein will feature a sketch that describes what's "as simple as Windows 7" and what's "more difficult than Windows 7." in a comedic way.

Also airing on November 8 on Fox will be new episodes of MacFarlane's other series, "American Dad" at 7:30 p.m., "Family Guy" at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. and "The Cleveland Show" at 9:30 p.m.
