FX Network Acquires Rights to THE LORAX, 21 JUMP STREET

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has acquired the rights to the new films THE LORAX and 21 JUMP STREET. Both films have recently topped the box office. The cable network has also acquired the rights to "Safe House," "The Vow" and "Act of Valor."

21 JUMP STREET, from Sony Pictures, is a remake of the 1980s television series that starred Johnny Depp. The current reboot stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as police officers thrown back into high school as undercover cops investigating illegal drug activity. In its first weekend, the film earned $35 million at the box office. 

Universal's THE LORAX has a voice cast which includes Danny DeVito, Zac Efron and Taylor Swift. It has earned $158.4 million domestically since its opening on March 2.
