Glee star Naya Rivera has been the unfortunate subject of some nasty and false rumors over the last several days, including stories that she had been fired from the long-running FOX musical dramedy.

Over the weekend, the FOX network issued a statement to The Associated Press which firmly stated that reports of Rivera's firing were untrue. "There is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show," the FOX network noted. "She remains under contract to `Glee.'"

Last week, Rivera's publicist, Samantha Hill, put an end to further reports that the actress had been dropped by her label, Columbia Records. "The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false." she affirmed. "If the 'news' outlets who put out this story had bothered to contact anyone from her team they would have learned this was false. To be clear, any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from 'Glee' or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false. Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya's good name and the media are failing at their duty to responsibly vet their sources and verify what is true and what is not. Naya's attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights."

Rivera inked a record deal with Columbia back in 2011 as a solo artist. Her first single, titled 'Sorry', was released in September of 2013, and featured Big Sean.
