Saturday's 48 Hours double feature, with two broadcasts focusing on the death of a beloved school teacher and the dark side of her Baptist preacher husband, was #1 with viewers and households at 9:00 PM and #1 at 10:00 PM with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 25, 2013.
48 HOURS: "The Preacher's Wife" (R) (9:00 PM) was first in viewers (4.11m) and households (2.9/06). Compared to the same night last year (CRIMETIME SATURDAY "NYC 22"), 48 Hours 9PM was up +43% in adults 25-54, up +20% in adults 18-49 and up +38% in households.
48 HOURS: "Dirty Little Secrets" (R) (10:00 PM) was first in adults 25-54 (1.4/04), in households (3.6/07) and in viewers (5.15m). Compared to the same night last year, 48 Hours was up +8% in adults 25-54 and up +6% in households. 48 HOURS: "Dirty Little Secrets" was the night's top program in both viewers and households.

Saturday's broadcasts featured Erin Moriarty and the 48 HOURS' team's two reports on the death of Kari Baker, a teacher and the wife of Baptist preacher, Matt Baker. Initially ruled a suicide, the investigation into Kari Baker's death uncovered a troubled marriage and Matt Baker's girlfriend, who told all to a jury.
