NBCUniversal announced that Edward A. Chuchla has been named Chief Real Estate Officer beginning September 12, 2016. Ed will be responsible for the company's global real estate portfolio of over 500 properties, including the headquarters in Rockefeller Center, working closely with the businesses on strategy, budget, planning and execution for our real estate transactions. He will also manage and execute the Evolution Plan - a 25-year master plan for the company's nearly 400-acre property in Los Angeles. Ed will report to Ian Trombley, President of NBCUniversal Operations and Technical Services.

"Ed is a seasoned real estate development executive with a proven track record in land-use, planning, design, and construction," said Trombley. "His expertise in global workplace-based real estate strategy and developing multi-billion dollar projects from corporate projects to theme park attractions uniquely positions him to manage the company's complex real estate portfolio."

Ed joins NBCUniversal from Las Vegas Sands Corporation (LVSC) where he served as Senior Vice President of Development overseeing global real estate and development. Prior to joining LVSC, Ed was Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations and Real Estate at the Walt Disney Company. In addition, Ed spent over eight years earlier in his career at Walt Disney assessing international development expansion opportunities for major theme park and corporate development projects.

Ed succeeds Corinne Verdery and Jasper Hasell. Corinne successfully secured the entitlements that have enabled the company to transform Universal Studios in the last five years, and Jasper managed the company's global real estate portfolio.

"Ed is the right person to lead the company's overall real estate and development plans into the future," said Ron Meyer, Vice Chairman of NBCUniversal. "He understands the importance of partnering with local stakeholders and community members to create mutually beneficial projects."

Ed received his Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Dartmouth College and a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
