Ed Skrein Cast in World War II Film, MIDWAY, Alongside Woody Harrelson, Luke Evans

Ed Skrein has joined Roland Emmerich's World War II film, Midway, according to Variety.

Woody Harrelson, Mandy Moore, Luke Evans, and Patrick Wilson have already been cast in the ensemble film.

Midway is based on the true story of the Battle of Midway, a turning point in the Pacific theater of World War II. The film recounts the exploits of the soldiers and aviators involved in the battle. Skrein's role details are currently unknown.

Midway producers are Centropolis Entertainment, Harald Kloser, and Mark Gordon. Wes Tooke wrote the script.

Skrein is known for his break out role in Deadpool as Ryan Reynolds' nemesis. He is also known for playing Daario Naharis in HBO's Game of Thrones. Skrein will be seen next in Robert Rodriguez's Alita: Battle Angel, produced by James Cameron. He will also star in BARRY Jenkins' If Beale Street Could Talk, the historical drama Born a King, and will be playing the villain in Maleficent 2.
