In an interview featured in today's Hollywood Reporter, Rocky director Alex Timbers discussed his upcoming film 'Rosaline' and his new series for Amazon, 'Mozart in the Jungle'. Both exciting projects are in the final stages of pre-production.

Timbers co-scripted and co-created Mozart in the Jungle along with Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola for Amazon. "We're going to film in New York in the fall," Timbers told THR at last night's opening night party for Here Lies Love, his new show at New York's Public Theater. "It's based on this memoir called Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music and it shows a little bit of the underbelly of the classical music world -- the politics and the more illicit side as well."

Starring Gael Garcia Bernal, Malcolm McDowell and Bernadette Peters, the series will be Timbers directorial and writing debut for TV. "It's been a great experience," he says. "I initially met up with Jason and Roman, and because I was in the New York theater world, they felt like I'd be a match."

Also on tap for the busy two-time Tony nominee is Rosaline, described as "a modern comic retelling of Romeo and Juliet." "That's going really well," Timbers said of the project, adding, "We're in the final stages of casting."
