Debbie Allen Directs 'Hellcats' Musical Episode this Season

Fame star and sometimes So You Think You Can Dance choreographer will direct an episode of the CW's Hellcats, according to E! Online. Reportedly, Allen will incorporate a large musical dance number into the episode.
Hellcats executive Kevin Murphy tells E!, "I'm a longtime fan of the original Fame, so having Debbie Allen join our team is a dream come true...Our executive producer/director Allan Arkush worked alongside Debbie on the Fame television series, so we're all excited to witness this long overdue creative reunion."
Allen is perhaps best known for her work on the 1982 musical-drama television series Fame, where she portrayed dance teacher Lydia Grant, and served as the series' principal choreographer.
Hellcats airs on the CW at 9:00pm on Thursdays.
