David Cassidy has been charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and may now face significant jail time.

The singer, best known for his role as teenage heartthrob Keith Partridge on the 1970's TV series 'The Partridge Family,' was pulled over near Los Angeles International Airport on January 10th after an officer caught him making an illegal right turn against a red light. According to TMZ, Cassidy blew 0.19, more than double the legal limit and refused to submit to further testing once he arrived at the police station.

The 63-year-old has two prior convictions for DUI. According to TMZ, Cassidy will serve a mandatory 96 hours in jail if convicted of the latest incident, with the possibility of a year-long jail term. No trial date has been set.

The actor, singer, songwriter and guitarist was one of pop culture's celebrated teen idols. He enjoyed a successful pop career in the 1970s, and still performs today.

Cassidy was one of the contestants on Celebrity Apprentice in 2011, in which his daughter Katie Cassidy made a brief appearance at her father's request.
