Author Daphne Dunn is launching a new marketing campaign for her 2013 publication, "The Sea Witch: The Ghost of Somerset Castle" (published by iUniverse), an 1850s adventure of lust and mystery.

Lieren of Herne Dennor Castle lives with her grandfather in Scotland, but she longs for adventure in foreign lands. When she meets Penn Stornaway, the British Marquis of Somerset and captain of the Sea Witch, they fall passionately in love, marry and embark on a trading voyage through port cities on the Mediterranean, from Algeria to Malta to Greece, through Crimean War pathos and then to Constantinople.

On a spellbinding adventure of dangerous seduction, kidnapping, sexual slavery and pirate attack, Lieren gets all that she bargained for and more. But as the newlyweds return home, Lieren becomes aware of how her adventures tie into her husband's estate in Cornwall where she must right an ancient wrong to jettison the haunting presence of the Ghost of Somerset Castle.

"I want readers to come away with a sense of the goodness of God and life and the loyalty of friends," Dunn says. "Love and loyal friends, escape from danger, triumph over fear: all are life on life's terms, no matter what year in time."
