Stage and screen star Dallas Roberts makes a memorable appearance in this Sunday's highly-anticipated new episode of the mega-hit AMC horror series THE WALKING DEAD, a new clip reveals.

Thus far, Roberts has excelled in his role as troubled genius scientist Milton Mamet (a theatre reference, perhaps?) in the paradigm city Woodbury - one of the only remaining zombie-free zones in this terrifying, post-apocalyptic Atlanta area, apparently - but this clip seems to indicate that he will be bringing down the evil Governor (David Morrissey) after all, perhaps with some help.

Only three episodes are left in the super-successful Season Three of the zombie-themed series, so whether or not Roberts's character will continue beyond this year is still unknown at this time, but it does not seem likely.

Roberts has scored in a number of memorable stage roles in New York throughout his career, most notably in Lanford Wilson's BURN THIS, Caryl Churchill's A NUMBER and Adam Rapp's NOCTOURNE.

THE WALKING DEAD airs Sundays at 9 PM on AMC.
