On last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS, professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy lashed out at judge Len Goodman over his harsh criticism of partner Hope Solo.  Today, his fellow DWTS's pro Derek Hough told People.com, "I was personally extremely surprised. I feel like the judges have been incredibly generous.  But we're all very emotional."

Continued Hough, "Being a seasoned professional, we know how the show works. We understand the ins and outs. Even last week, I pretty much told Ricki [Lake] exactly what the judges were going to say, literally verbatim. You know what to expect."

Chmerkovsily left the ballroom quite upset according to People, particularly after being admonished by Judge Carrie Ann Inaba to be "respectful" of head judge Goodman. He later told reporters, that the ABC competition was "my show," adding that he helped "make it what it is."
