THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS won its time period in viewers, leading CBS to a nightly win, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, January 11th. From 9:00-11:00 PM, THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS (S) was first in households (5.9/09), viewers (8.88m), second in adults 25-54 (3.0/07) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07).

For the night, CBS was first in households (5.8/09), viewers (8.88m), second in adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.3/06).

The PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS was broadcast live from its home at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Now in its 38th year, the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS is voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in music, movies and television. The "People's Choice" website at www.peopleschoice.com serves as a year-round destination for entertainment enthusiasts to voice their opinions on pop culture, and determine the nominees and winners for the annual awards show. Fred Nelson is the President of People's Choice, and the awards show is produced by Procter & Gamble Productions, Inc., which is represented by MediaVest Worldwide, Inc., supervisors of the production.
