CBS's FACE THE NATION is #1 in Viewers for Fourth Quarter for the Fourth Consecutive Year

CBS News' FACE THE NATION posted its best fourth quarter delivery in viewers since the 1987 advent of people meters. Season-to-date and for fourth quarter 2015, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.52m) for the fourth consecutive fourth quarter, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Compared to last season and fourth quarter 2014, FACE THE NATION is up +4% in viewers (from 3.38m).

On Dec. 27, FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers, and beat its nearest competitor by +380,000 viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.85 million viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 57.4% of the CBS affiliates.

The Dec. 27 broadcast featured interviews with Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson and Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Host John Dickerson also spoke with comedian and host of CBS's THE LATE SHOW Stephen Colbert and astronaut Commander Scott Kelly with a look back at 2015. The week's political panel included Ben Domenech of The Federalist; Jeanne Cummings of The Wall Street Journal; James Bennet of The Atlantic; and David Rohde of Reuters.
