CBS News' FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers television year-to-date, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.95 million viewers (up +6%, from 3.72m) and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54.

FACE THE NATION delivered 4.31 million viewers on Jan. 29 and 0.9/05 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION posted double-digit year-to-year percentage growth in viewers (up +17%, from 3.68m) and adults 25-54 (up +13%, from 0.8/04). (Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 59.8% of the CBS affiliates.)

The Jan. 29 broadcast opened with an interview with White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, followed by interviews with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN). The political roundtable featured The Atlantic's Molly Ball; Hugh Hewitt, talk radio host and author of The Fourth Way: The Conservative Playbook for a Lasting GOP Majority; The New York Times' Peter Baker; and Slate and CBS News political analyst Jamelle Bouie.
