CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD will serve up a packed menu with its annual food-themed broadcast, "Eat, Drink and Be Merry," to be broadcast Nov. 23 (9:00 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

From a look at Spam to the mechanics behind menu planning, the CBS SUNDAY MORNING team has prepared a buffet of food-related stories for this week's broadcast.

Among the items ON THE MENU are David Pogue's look at the foods of the future; Rita Braver's report on the history of menus and how they're designed to guide dining choices; Mo Rocca's visit with pioneering 95-year-old chef Cecilia Chiang; and Martha Teichner interviews Roger Rowley, an artist whose medium is fruit plates.

Serena Altschul talks with famed chef and TV host Ina Garten ("The Barefoot Contessa"), while Tracy Smith catches up with singer Patti LaBelle, who chats about how she's changed her diet and cooking habits after being diagnosed with diabetes. Lee Cowan explores the enduring popularity of Spam; Faith Salie reports on the resurgence of apple cider; Barry Petersen digs into the growth in the original meal-to-go, meat jerky; and Nancy Giles weighs in on the joys of slow-cooking.

Also on the broadcast, Susan Spencer reports on new twists for old standbys, soup, nuts and frozen foods, and comedian Jim Gaffigan delivers his unique take on THANKSGIVING holiday eating.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
