CBS NEWS with SCOTT PELLEY Gains Nearly a Quarter-Million Viewers

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is the only network evening news broadcast to post year-to-year ratings gains among viewers (+5%, 5.73m from 5.47m) and households (+8%, 4.0/08 from 3.7/07) for the week ending Oct. 5, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY gained more than a quarter-million viewers (+260,000 viewers) compared to the same week last year.
Additionally, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is the only network evening news broadcast to maintain its adults 25-54 rating (1.3/05) compared to the same week last year.Note: Ratings for the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY for the week ending Oct. 5 represent a four-day average (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
