CBS NEWS with SCOTT PELLEY Gains Nearly a Quarter-Million Viewers

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is the only network evening news broadcast to post year-to-year ratings gains among viewers (+5%, 5.73m from 5.47m) and households (+8%, 4.0/08 from 3.7/07) for the week ending Oct. 5, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY gained more than a quarter-million viewers (+260,000 viewers) compared to the same week last year.

Additionally, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is the only network evening news broadcast to maintain its adults 25-54 rating (1.3/05) compared to the same week last year.

Note: Ratings for the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY for the week ending Oct. 5 represent a four-day average (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY was broadcast under an amended title on Wednesday due to the live coverage of the first presidential debate.
