Zap2it.com reports that CBS has canceled the long-running daytime courtroom Reality Show JUDGE Joe Brown. In a statement, CBS Television Distribution announced, "We would like to thank Joe for 15 great years, as well as executive producer John Terenzio and the entire staff for all their hard work and dedication to the show."

The legal series was the second highest-rated such show behind "Judge Judy," and was reportedly in talks to continue it's run. However CBS Television wanTed Brown to take a cut in salary due to recent ratings declines. This led to a breakdown in negotiations and ultimately to the show's cancellation.

According to the report, "Judge Joe Brown" was averaging 3.4 million daily viewers in 2013, down from an average of 4.1 million a year ago. The show was also down in the women 25-54 demographic, pulling just a 1.1 household rating.

Judge Joe Brown will continue to run in originals and reruns on the Fox-owned TV stations that currently broadcast it until it leaves the air in September.
