Beyonce to Perform, Receive Michael Jackson Vanguard Award on 2014 VMA's

USA Today reports that Beyoncé has joined the all-star line up for the highly anticipated 2014 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS. The entertainer is an 11-time winner for her solo work and as a member of Destiny's Child. This year, she tops all nominees with eight nods, including Video of the Year, Best Female and Best Choreography.

Also set to appear on this year's show are previously announced performers Usher, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5.

In addition, Beyonce will receive this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The honor has been previously given to Jackson, Madonna , Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

The VMAs will be telecast at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Aug. 24 from The Forum in Los Angeles.
