Team ARROW is falling apart after the shocking death of Sara Lance (aka Black Canary, played by Caity Lotz)

Oliver (aka ARROW, played by Stephen Amell) remains cold, detached and focused on finding Sara's killer. Felicity is a bag of tears. Roy (aka Arsenal, played by Colton Haynes) doesn't know what to do with himself.

Grieving is even at a standstill; given Sara's father's heart condition, the team decides to not tell Quentin Lance about the shocking death until they capture her killer. That means Sara's body is in a freezer in the Team ARROW warehouse.

Given that there isn't a long list of assassins with exceptional archery skills, the team quickly zeros on who the killer is -a man who calls himself Komodo (Matt Ward). ARROW gets the dime on his whereabouts and confronts him as he is about to kill again. ARROW stops the attack, but Komodo escapes.

If the sixth stage of grief is revenge, Sara's sister Laurel (Katie Cassidy) demonstrates it in spades. She takes the law into her own hands to confront the lone survivor of the assassin's arrows, Erlich Kelso (played by guest star Patrick Gilmore). He initially disavows any knowledge of who might be trying to kill him and why until Laurel literally twists his arm. They were working together to build an oil pipeline. An arrow shot from a rooftop across from the hospital silences Kelso. Laurel grabs a quick glance of the ninja-esque Komodo before he disappears from sight.

Roy finally comes clean about Thea. She isn't off on an adventure. She and Roy had planned to run away and when Roy decided to stay and help Oliver, Thea went off on her own. Oliver takes the reveal surprisingly well.

Laurel returns to Team ARROW with the Intel she received shortly before Kelso's death. They quickly determine the next target (the board member of Ameritek, who approved the funds for the pipeline). He just happens to be in town for an event being thrown by Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) at Queen Consolidated (Oliver's company, now run by him).

ARROW and Arsenal stop Komodo from killing his intended target and ARROW gives chase.

In a floor of Queen Consolidated that's under construction, ARROW and Komodo exchange arrows and then Laurel shows up with gun drawn. She is prepared to kill Komodo for what he did to her sister. Trouble is, he was getting drunk in nearby Bludhaven (the comic book home of former Robin Dick Grayson). She pulls the trigger anyway. Oliver removed the bullets from the gun earlier, though.

Since Team ARROW is unable to solve Sara's murder in 48 hours (and the leads are cold), Oliver tells Laurel she's got to let her dad know that Sara is dead. In his office at the police station, she is about to tell him, but a timer goes off reminding him to take his heart pills and she chickens out.

Under the cover of night, Team ARROW buries Sara in her grave (she was previously thought to be dead in season one). One of the final scenes has Laurel in her apartment clutching a stuffed animal of her dead sister's before setting it aside to pick up Black Canary's leather jacket. Given that Laurel is Black Canary in the comics, this is a moment we've been anticipating for two seasons.

Will Laurel pick up the leather jacket and mask of her dead sister? Join us next week as we recap another installment of ARROW.
