While the threat of a TV show getting cancelled is ever looming, RESURRECTION fans with many questions left without answers were elated when news broke that they'd be seeing the citizens of Arcadia, Missouri again. With two fan-favorite actresses coming to town, Season Two guarantees tons more intrigue and emotion.

As Season One wrapped, the number of the Returned hit well over 250, leaving Agent Bellamy (Omar Epps) ill-equipped to handle the situation. Back up soon arrives with ample provisions for the Returned, but a displeased Sergeant Langston (Matt Craven) has another plan in mind. With the notion that they "must protect the living...not the dead," Langston rounds up the Returned and locks them up in the local high school gym, leaving many viewers to suspect he's up to no good.

Season Two promises to be just as eerie and full of suspense as Season One. A promo for the second season was released at the beginning of the month, and it seems we'll be meeting yet another deceased member of the Langston family. As Jacob Langston leads us to the Langston family mausoleum, we get a shot of a tombstone that belongs to a "Margaret Langston." It turns out Margaret is Henry and Fred's mother and Jacob's grandmother, who died long before Jacob did. As the promo states, GAME OF THRONES' Michelle Fairley has signed on to play the Langston Matriarch. Fairley isn't the only new member of the cast; two-time Tony-winner Donna Murphy (PASSION, THE KING & I, WONDERFUL TOWN, Disney's TANGELED) has joined the show as a government agent assigned to keep an eye on Agent Bellamy.

As it stands now, it seems like Sergeant Langston has the intention to kill all of the Returned. Although, I have a feeling that the arrival of his deceased mother might complicate things quite a bit. However, even if he did kill everyone, Rachel's second comeback (after being shot) points to there being no way to kill the Returned.

With Michelle Fairley and Donna Murphy signing on for the new season, RESURRECTION fans can bet on tons of dramatic moments and possibly some humorous ones, as well. With more and more of the Returned crawling out of the woodwork, we can only continuously wonder what in the world is bringing them back?! That is just one question on the list of many left unanswered from Season One.

Who else are we going to meet in Season Two? We'll just have to tune in on September 29th to see what the heck is going on in Arcadia!
