Co-star Eileen Brennan garnered a nomination for Best Supporting Actress while the movie's screenplay (written by Nancy Meyers, Charles Shyer and Harvey MIller) was also nominated.

Anna Faris' previous film roles include 'Brokeback Mountain', the 'Scary Movie' series, 'Mama's Boy', 'Lost in Translation', ' The Hot Chick', 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel', 'Waiting...', and 'Blue Skies'. Faris has also appeared on television roles including 'Friends' and 'Entourage'.
