American Idol's Scotty McCreery to Perform on The CW's HART OF DIXIE, 4/23

As first reported in The Huffington Post, Season 10 American Idol winner Scotty McCreery will be making a special appearance on The CW series HART OF DIXIE this spring. 

The singer will be playing himself in the episode and will perform his latest country music single, 'The Trouble With Girls'. The song will be included during a highly emotional scene between the show's characters Zoe, actress Rachel Bilson, and George, actor Scott Porter. 

McCreery's debut album, entitled 'Clear As Day' went platininum in just three months time. Billboard magazine recently named him the 'Number 1 New Country Artist' for 2011. In addition, he earned the American Country Award's 'New Artist of the Year' prize last December. Currently, the eighteen-year-old is on tour with fellow country artist Brad Paisley. 

McCreery's episode is scheduled to air on April 23rd. HART OF DIXIE returned with all-new episodes last night. The show airs at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
