AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM's James Cromwell won the 2013 Emmy for OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A MINISERIES OR A MOVIE.

Also nominated in his category were Zachary Quinto (American Horror Story: Asylum), Scott Bakula (Behind The Candelabra), John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C: Hereafter), and Peter Mullan (Top of the Lake).

Check out his acceptance speech below.

JAMES CROMWELL: This is very strange. First of all, I want to acknowledge my fellow nominees. It's a privilege to be in your company. This may not make any sense to anyone here, but I want to thank my beloved friend Elsa, who talked to her boys. And, Elsa, it worked. To my indefatigable and indomitable Joanna, who makes my life possible and without whom I probably literally would not be here. And to my dearest Anne, the best prize a man could ever have. Thank you very much.
