Deadline reports that Amanda Peet will star in the Duplass Brothers' upcoming HBO comedy pilot, TOGETHERNESS. The single-camera project is written, directed and executive produced by brothers Mark and Jay Duplass. The actress joins previously announced castmember Steve Zissis.

In the comedy, "two couples living under the same roof struggle to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams. Peet will portray Tina Morris, described as "an energetic and beautiful woman who is fun, outgoing, mischievous and smart in both dress and brainpower. Tina relocates from Houston to Los Angeles and moves in with her sister Michelle Pierson (Melanie Lynskey) and her husband Brett Pierson."

Also moving in with the Piersons is Brett's friend Alex (Zissis) who is a struggling, over-the-hill actor who had been left homeless.

Peet has appeared in a variety of films, including the 2003 psychological horror 'Identity', the 2005 action-thriller 'Syriana' and the 2006 comedy-drama 'Griffin & Phoenix'. She has also appeared on TV in 'Jack & Jill', Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Good Wife and Bent.

The actress appeared in the off-Broadway revival of Clifford Odets's 'Awake and Sing' in 1984. In February 2006, she performed in Neil Simon's Broadway production of 'Barefoot in the Park'. Last week, Manhattan Theater Club announced that it will stage Peet's first play, Manhattan Theater Club, next season.
