​Alex Brightman, Alex Wyse, & More Will Perform THE SONGS OF DREW GASPARINI

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present a Re-release Party for Drew Gasparini's beloved album I COULD USE A DRINK: THE SONGS OF DREW GASPARINI on Monday, September 9th, 2019 at 7pm and 9:30pm. Gasparini will be joined by original vocalists from the album including Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice, School of Rock), Kacie Sheik (Hair), Alex Wyse (Waitress, Spring Awakening), and more.

Composer Drew Gasparini returns to Feinstein's/54 Below for his annual back-to-school party and this time in celebration of his album I COULD USE A DRINK. Released in 2013 by Broadway Records and produced by Charlie Rosen, I COULD USE A DRINK introduced many Gasparini standards and best-sellers, including "If I Had You," "Valley High," and "A Little Bit." This concert will be a rare opportunity to hear the original vocalists from the album perform these songs again, live! Join us for an evening of nostalgia and greatest hits, coupled with classic Gasparini bacchanalia.

Reprising their work on the album will be Brightman, Sheik, Wyse, Andrew Kober (Beautiful), F. Michael Haynie (Wicked), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Gabriel Violett (The Voice), Kasie Gasparini (Mamma Mia!), and Chloe Gasparini (Saint Adeline). They will be joined by new friends and voices Troy Iwata (Be More Chill), Natalie Weiss ("Breaking Down The Riff"), Renee Rapp (Mean Girls), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Keith White (A Bronx Tale), Heath Saunders (Great Comet), Raymond Lee (Aladdin), Amber Ardolino (Moulin Rouge!), Anoop Desai (American Idol), Brenna Coogan (Island Song), Rachel Skalka (Once Upon a Time in the Berkshires), Keaton Whittaker (A Little Night Music), Alexis Myles, and Morgan Reilly.

Drew  Gasparini  is committed to forging a new sound in the intersection between theatre and pop, and to nurturing the next generation of artists.  Named one of  Playbill.com's  "Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know," Drew is currently developing a number of new stage musicals, including an adaptation of the film  Night Shift for Warner Bros Theatre Ventures, an adaptation of the film It's Kind of a Funny Story  for  Universal Theatrical Group, an adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning children's book  The Whipping Boy (the latter two titles with bookwriter Alex Brightman), The Drum Bridge (with Brandon Ellis), and other projects he is eager to share with you but can't just yet. He also wrote the music for Everything in its Place: The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers, a one-man-show by Brightman that premiered at Bloomington Playwrights Project in April 2016. Drew was a contributing composer for Hit List on the NBC television series "SMASH". His unique brand of musical theatre concerts have been performed to sold-out houses at esteemed venues from NY to London, ranging in size from Feinstein's/54 Below to The Kennedy Center. Drew can often be found sharing the stage with his talented sisters, Kasie and Chloe, performing their signature brand of folk pop as Saint Adeline; alongside teacher Louis Sacco performing re-interpretations of jazz standards as "Louis & Drew"; or with his three best friends-Broadway's Alex Brightman, F. Michael Haynie, and Andrew Kober-performing obscene comedy as The (M)orons. An educator at heart, Drew has taught master classes for students around the world.
