ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS Gets Release Deate

Locally made film ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS (directed by Ryan Bellgardt) will see its nationwide release on Blu-ray, DVD, On-Demand and Digital on September 1st, 2015. Distributed by Scream Factory (The Babadook, Halloween, Mad Max (1979)), ARMY OF FRANKENSTEINS has already been released overseas in Germany, Japan and China. And will hit shelves later this year in the UK.

The filmmakers are having special "Live Riff" screening and release party at Will Rogers Theater starting at 7:00 pm. The party is open to the public for an $8.00 fee at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5.00 on Event Brite. Several local comedians, Spencer Hicks, Lucas Ross and more, will be there to riff the movie as it plays for the audience Mystery Science Theater style.

Director Ryan Bellgardt, an Edmond native, is vice-president/creative director at Boiling Point Media in Oklahoma City. After winning a Heartland Emmy for his work on KAUT's the 2 Movie Guys Intergalactic Holiday Showdown, Bellgardt wanted to do something bigger. He put together a team and scrounged up the funding to create a feature length low budget horror/sci fi movie.
