According to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel's ANT-MAN is set to battle it out at the Summer 2015 box office with BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN.

After announcing that Disney had bumped PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5 from its initial 2015 release, the studio has reportedly pushed ANT-MAN forward from its Nov. 6, 2015 release to July 31 - which means it'll open just two weeks after W.B.'s first-ever Superman-Batman crossover, starring Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, which is set to bow on July 17.

As previously reported, the crossover will technically serve as a sequel to Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL. Affleck is set to create an entirely new incarnation of BATMAN in Snyder's as-yet-untitled project-bringing Batman and Superman together for the first time on the big screen and continuing the director's vision of their universe.

The film will also reunite STEEL stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

The film will also go up against THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, hitting theaters on May 1, 2015.
