FOX Premieres New Awards Show Honoring Country Music's Best. America to Vote for Their Favorite Nominated Artists

The inaugural AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS (ACAs) will air live from Las Vegas Monday, Dec. 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. The two-hour special will feature performances and appearances by the year's chart-topping country artists and will be the first country music awards show where the fans determine the winners.

"We are very excited to finally have an awards show that celebrates a new crop of country music artists and gives a voice to the next generation of country music fans," said AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS executive producer Bob Bain. "The ACAs will highlight the diverse and ever-changing landscape of the genre as seen in crossover artists like Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum, as well as honor country music legends."

It will solely be up to America to choose the winners from each AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS category once the nominees are announced. Nominees and voting information, as well as host(s), performers and presenters, will be announced soon.

Categories for the AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS will include Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Touring Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and Music Video by a Breakthrough Artist, among others.

AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS is executive-produced by Bob Bain (TEEN CHOICE 2010). Paul Flattery and Tisha Fein will serve as producers; Fletcher Foster is co-producer; and Greg Sills serves as supervising producer.
