A&E Network introduces a proud native South Boston family that is battling the relentless gentrification of their neighborhood that's been overrun with yuppies, sushi restaurants and $5 cups of coffee. "Southie Rules" premieres Tuesday, January 29 at 10PM ET/PT on A&E.

This family is one of the few remaining multi-generational Southie clans all living under the same roof of a triple-decker (three-level home). The top floor houses Camille, the family's matriarch and her ex-husband Walter, both of whom still sleep in the same bed. Down the hall is their youngest son Matt, his girlfriend Jenn and their one-year old, Liana. Matt works part-time at the family's tattoo shop, but stay-at-home mom Jenn insists he find a real career. On the middle floor is Jon, the eldest son who manages the family's tattoo shop. Over the past year, Jon has been relegated to the smallest room in the house since Matt became a father. Just a foot away, in the living room, is Matt's best friend, Devin, the house's lovable mooch who sleeps on the family couch most nights. Keeping the family together on the ground floor is Leah, her husband Jarod, and their toddler, Abby. Leah is a housewife with loud opinions, unlike Jarrod, who is much more domestic than his rambunctious wife. Together, this highly entertaining family preserves the Southie way of life and the age-old traditions that come with it.

But nowadays, these self-professed "last townies standing" are no longer the majority in their neighborhood. Outsiders (better known to the family as "the yuppies") continue to move into the area and radically change everything in the neighborhood - driving up real estate prices and driving out the long-standing locals. Despite it all, the family continues to embrace their "Southie" way of life and their traditions. To "yuppies," jumping in the frigid harbor on New Year's Day, housing three generations of a family under one roof, or never moving from the home you were born in may seem ridiculous, but to this family, it's not just routine - it's their way of life. These "Southies" are faithful to their legacy, and they're not budging, unless they kill each other first.

"Southie Rules" is produced by Powderhouse Productions and Magilla Entertainment for A&E. Executive producers for Powderhouse Productions are Seanbaker Carter, Joel Olicker and Tug Yourgrau. Executive producers for Magilla Entertainment are Brian Flanagan, Matt Ostrom and Laura Palumbo Johnson. David McKillop, Elaine Frontain Bryant, Drew Tappon and Fred Grinstein serve as executive producers for A&E.
